This is a 19th century Tibetan cast bronze ritual hat. The hat is decorated with five skulls, four on the brim encircling the crown and one in the center on top of the crown. Each skull on the brim has silver plated ornaments attached to its sides and top and each of the top ornaments is set with a single gemstone. The skull on the crown has a taller and more elaborate top showing six characters of incantation. Eight emblems of Buddhism decorate the crown. The interior is lined with silk. The ha... This is a copper dorje, or vajra. A decoration of skulls, partly in silver, encircles either side of the central sphere. Each of the sixteen prongs, eight on either side of the dorje, is partly decorated with an embossed lotus motif in silver. Tibet, 18th - 19th century. Good condition, with dents, as expected for an item of this age.

This carved bone image of a fearsome Mahakala originates in Tibet. It is possibly from a necromancer's apron, though it is freestanding and lacks the top holes one would expect. It does have two drilled holes which are drilled so as to come through the mouth.It measures just over 2-1/2 inches high (6.5 cm.) and forms under a 45 degree angle at the base. Votive image in blackish-purple sandal-wood (zitan) of the important Bon lama Namye (the Peerless) Sherab Gyaltsen (1356–1416), great scholar and organizer of the monastic life of the Bonpo; he is the founder of the monastery of Menri located between Lhasa and Shigatze in Central Tibet in 1405.
