A N-Indian, Deccan, brass Lota with ribbed design and an ithyphallic appearance of the spout under which we see a stylized trisula (trifork) of Shiva. The lota can therefore be linked to the ritual lustration of the Siva Lingam image in Hindu temples. The Lota was used under the Mughul period in the 17th century, and has survived to this date. Condition: Excellent. H: 15 cm

An Indian bidri base to a water pipe, 19th century. the bell shaped zinc body is inlaid with silver floral devices and has a bronze base. It measures 6.5 inches or 16.5cm high X 6.75 inches or 17cm diameter at the base. There are losses to the silver inlay visible in the images.

An Indian bidri base to a water pipe, inlaid with silver floral sprays and scrolls, 18th century. Measuring 18cm or 7 inches high, it has a zinc body and silver inlay. There is an old lead repair to the base and areas of loss to the inlay, visible in the images.
