Ganesha with 4 arms seated on double waisted base that which on top is circular and below is a waisted square. Ganesha's Rat is on his right side, and is quite wonderful. In his upper hands Ganesh holds fierce battle axes. Small traces of worshipping on the trunk and belly. Nice bronze Patina. Condition: Only a small piece of the dress missing on the back side of figure. S-Indian 16-17th c. H: 6.5 cm, little over 2.5"

Well carved Ganesha, seated in Lalita Asana. Pala dynasty 12th century. Below the right foot and the lotus flower we see Ganesha's Rat. Lower right and upper hands with attributes. Very nice face and ears. Some damage on lower left hand and knee, and chip on back lower base. The figure barely stands by it self but can be mounted. This idol has amulet size. Ganesha said to bring luck in business. H: 8cm or little over 3".

Wonderful worshipped miniature Jambala from NE-India, Pala Dynasty, 11th century. Jambala seated in Lalita Asana position. Face slightly worn from worshipping. Pala bronzes are amongst the rarest and most beautiful works of Buddhist and Hindu idols. This is a good size late 18th century devotional statue of the Hindu goddess Durga portrayed in the sitting position. It is a very attractive piece, with a lustrous golden patina and smooth heavy feel. Considering its color and heft, it is possible that this bronze alloy includes a small amount of gold. Durga is an incarnation of the goddess Parvati, and was manifest when evil forces threatened the existence of the gods.
