This is a nicely decorated pair of vases. There is good detail on each of the eight panels, but some minor wear to the gold application on the cobalt. They date about 1900 and measure 8 1/2" x 3 1/8".

Offered is a nice sky blue jun bowl of the Yuan dynasty and of the period. This is an excellent study piece as it allows you to observe the compact paste in the chipped area of the foot, as well as glaze movement. This Jun bowl is offered as is, and has uneven pooling of the glaze, a large chip at the foot, a body crack but doesn't go through, some glaze chips from the base when the bowl was removed from the kiln and a very tiny chip on the rim. The form of this incense burner is quite unusual. There are four lobes, each with a different scene. On the cover is a nicely detailed shi shi or foo dog above carefully enameled floral and geometric reserves. It is in excellent condition with few signs of wear. It dates about 1890 and measures 4" x 3.5".

This globular vase is well decorated with blossoming chrysanthemums in slightly raised enamels. The subtle coloring and decoration are very much in keeping with Japanese taste of the Meiji Period. Other than some minor wear to the gold and enamel, this vase is in excellent condition. It dates about 1900 and measures 8" x 6".

This is a nicely decorated, artist signed Satsuma koro or incense burner. It is in excellent condition with almost no wear and no damages. The dimensions are 3.5" x 3.25" and it dates about 1900 - 1910.

The form on this vase is very unusual. The lowest lobe is decorated with two scenes depicting the boys' day festival. The middle lobe shows goddesses and children, while the upper lobe shows boys at play. The vase is not signed, but it is almost certainly the work of the Meizan or Hozan studios. The condition is excellent and it dates about 1880. The dimensions are 4 7/8" x 2".

"On hold" 
The interior of this artist signed bowl is decorated with a scene from the festival of lanterns. Around the periphery of the interior is a band of cranes in flight. The exterior shows a garden scene with butterflies. It measures 7 3/8" x 2 1/2". There are a couple of minor flea bite chips in the gold on the rim and some minimal wear. This item dates back to the Meiji Period or about 1890 - 1900.

This bowl is well decorated with a series of overlapping scenes in the form of scrolls, fans, flowers and leaves. It is artist signed and dates back to the early Meiji period, or about 1880. The condition is excellent with minimal signs of wear. It is fairly large, measuring 3.5" x 7.25".

The size of Chawan: 5 1/8" L x 4 5/8" W x 3 7/8" H. The most unusual Japanese Chawan, Tea Bowl ever seen. The chawan was made by Nezumi Shino. One of Shino Yaki.
