Featuring a fine Japanese silver wire cloisonne enamel vase covered with profuse flowers and a long tailed bird in a tree, probably a pheasant.The vase, with a lovely graceful shape and narrow neck, measures 6" tall and a diameter of approximately 2 1/4" at widest point. The dark cobalt blue background is not only beautifully worked on the front with many colorful flowers and a bird, but also on the back with a small but fine detail. This lovely enameled bronze or copper Suiteki dates to 19th century. The ade-old patinated suiteki is in the shape of Choshi, sake ewer. It has functional beauty and dripless spout. Due to age some parts of cloisonne has wear off on the edge. This Suiteki is in good condition in itself and water-tight. Measurements: 3 3/4" (9.5cm) widest, 3 1/8" (7.8cm) in diameter and 1 7/8" (4.8cm) tall.

Featuring a small Japanese cloisonne calling card or pin tray with a bird in water and pink lotus blossoms and leaves, and another red flower. Dates circa 1880. Measures 4 3/4"x 3 1/4". Excellent condition with no damages, chips, cracks or restorations. Very nice little piece with stylized decorations reminiscent of a wood block print. Back interesting with floral cloisonne design. Baluster vases densely decorated with flying cranes, scrolls, blossoms and clouds on turquoise ground with gilded wires. Standing on European Ormolu mounting with three feet ending in a mascaron ornament. Metal rim fitting, inside turquoise enamel. Condition: Good. Dimension: 20,6 cm. and 20,8 cm. A cloisonne enamel plaque or large dish depicting a finch amongst peony and convulvulus flowers. This item was made for export in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - good overall - there is surface wear but no damage to the interior. Most of the gilding to the rim has worn away and there is an area of enamel loss (impact damage) to the footrim. No further damage and no restoration.
