This is a great Japanese Cloisonne Vase. Unsigned, but definitely the work of a master, either Hayashi or Ando. Vase is 6 sided and is large Approx. 10" tall and 7" in diameter at widest point. There is a tremendous amount of work on this vase. Thick and thin Silver wire cloisons with Silver Outer Rims (bottom rim marked silver) with the Top Inner Rim having a Gold Wash. Lovely gold rimmed Meiji Period Japanese cloisonne charger with intricate floral pattern. The original import label is still attached to the back of the piece. The label indicates that the piece was imported to the US by the A A VanTine of New York, who was one of the first importers of Japanese and Chinese cloisonne on the east coast.

This pair of early Japanese cloisonne vases is fully decorated, both front and back. There is nice artwork throughout and they are in very good condition. Each vase measures 12.5" x 6" and date about 1900.

This fine Japanese cloisonne vase, made by the world famous Ando workshop, is done in the popular continuous Egret pattern. This is a wonderful Japanese Cloisonné Enamel Koro and Lid. This piece was definitely done by a master craftsman, probably Honda. This high shouldered koro is worked in standard cloisonne. I believe the wires are guilded but I can not tell for sure. The shoulder and lid have a very elaborate butterfly and floral pattern. There are seven beautifully done panels going around the tan speckled ground body. The koro is approx. 4 ¼” high and is in excellent condition with only some minor pitting.
