A lovely little Japanese lacquer kogo (small covered box) with gold makie lacquer clouds and seed pods floating on a black lacquer ground. The kogo measure's 3" diameter by 1" thick and is in excellent condition. We date it to the late Meiji period, circa 1900-1915.
