Japanese round-form bronze kagami (mirror) decorated in high relief with a finely detailed motif of cranes among pines. The perforated knob in the center, which is designed to hold a tassel, is in the form of a tortoise. Meiji period (late 19th century). 4 3/4" diameter. Excellent condition. For centuries, mirrors were customarily given to temples and shrines as offerings to deities.

Japanese early 20th century pair of brass candlesticks. The pair was at one time converted into western style lamps and the black wooden bases were added at that time. The wide base and top is done in a chrysanthemum blossom shape with 16 petals. The candlesticks measure 23" tall, 6 1/2" diameter at the base and 3 1/2" diameter at top. Price is for "as is" condition. Still a great pair of candlesticks.

Japanese early 20th century period bronze USUBATA. This USUBATA is wonderfully designed with rabbits and a utensil to pound rice cakes with. The rabbits, one on each side form unique handles for the USUBATA flower container. Unsigned. It measures 11 1/2" tall, 11 1/2" in diameter at the top and 6" in diameter at the bottom.

A nineteenth century menuki mounted onto a “one size fits all” silver bracelet. The piece depicts two shishi, a mother and child. Menuki originate from the handle of a Japanese samurai sword to aid with grip and serve as symbolic décor. A matching pair is attached to the hilt of the sword and is then covered by silk string braided around the handle. They are made of iron, inlaid with silver and overlaid with high karat gold.
