Antique tetsubin, a traditional Japanese cast-iron teapot dating to the Taisho-Period (c. 1920). This item features a subtle relief on the body of the pot, highlighted by a prominent relief of a mountain village. The cast-iron handle is decorated with floral inlays in silver and bronze, and the solid bronze lid features a decorative silver handle with a kiri leaf design. Antique tetsubin, a traditional Japanese cast-iron teapot dating to the Taisho-Period (c.1920). This quaint little tetsubin features a hobnail pattern relief on the body, with a snug fitting, solid bronze lid. The cast iron handle is decorated with silver floral inlays. The bronze lid has developed a beautiful patina, and is inscribed with kanji the bottom which reads Ryubundo Zo, a famous family of tetsubin artists in the Kyoto area. 19th century round Japanese kogo ( covered box for incense during tea ceremony) made in cloisonne technique. Simple elegant shape with decoration of two roundels inside a spade shaped reserve, all on a karakusa (scrolling vine) ground.
