ca. 1910-1920 45" x 43 3/4", 115 cm x 111 cm This long work coat is made primarily of a thinly woven printed, fake 'kasuri' (ikat) cotton fabric which has been over patched with various other cottons, some of which are 'fake' kasuri, others which are woven ikat. The effect is of subtle layering of pattern against pattern.
