A rare Korean silver-wire inlaid iron box with brass fittings, 19th century. The lid slides to open and reveal remains of red interior lacquer. Measurements are 7cm high X 11.5cm long X 7.6cm wide. The top has a double happiness character within swastika frets; the sides have lotus and orchid sprays and the end has a chrysanthemum roundel surrounded by four bats. There are minor losses to the wire inlay and losses to the interior red lacquer.
