This mask was used in the Saja Noleum Lion Play, performed for hundreds of years in this province in the northeastern part of North Korea on the traditional Dan-O holiday in May since the Chosun Dynasty. 16 x 16 x 9 inches, 40.5 x 40.5 x 23 cm.
