This is a relatively large and very nice carved figure, 22 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 8 inches deep, of San. Isidro, the Patron Saint of Farmers. The Santos is carved from hard wood, much of the paint is intact, and most unusually, the associated Santos figures (oxen, angel, laborer, and plow) are intact. This is a very good example of a Philippine folk carving, and dates from the early part of the 1900s. Additional photographs available upon request.
