Mixed string of very old beads from Cambodia. The shell beads are polished and are consistent with Southeast Asian late Bronze to Early Iron Age, dating of 100-500 CE , the transparent glass beads are the same shape and technique of manufacture as Chinese opaque glass beads traded to the Khmer Empire circa 11th 12th CE. A very nice collection and may be worn “as is”. Total length 64cm/25in.

A very rare and impressive chung dZi bead in a crescent shape made from a many beautiful colors and translucency calcedony (agate) stone. This is a military stone worn by a high ranking soldier , most likely a general. It is from the Pyu period from India/Burma dating from the first to fifth century. Size: L. 13cm (5 1/8 inches)
W. 3.8cm. ( 1 1/2 inches) Condition: No repairs or chips. Some calcification that can easily be polished off which I wouldn't recommend.

A very old naturally banded agate bead.Found in Southeast Asia, but probably made in India or Central Asia. A hole carved through the center. These beads were considered "magical" in ancient and in present times. Age: 500 to 1000 BC. Size: L.3.5cm. Diameter: 1cm. Condition: Small ancient chips at both ends probably done at the time of carving.

A magnificent carnelian multi-striped bead necklace. The large bead has four rings on each side with a zig-zag pattern in the center. These are sometimes referred to as military beads. There are two orange and two dark zig-zag carnelian beads on either side of the large one. It is very rare to find an assortment of stripped carnelian on one necklace. These are from the first century and from India/ Burma, early Pyu period. Size: Full length. 63cm
