Composed of two silver tone metal plaques with repousse decoration. Each plaque with slightly dome shaped center depicting a flower basket. Hook and eye closure, decorated with a filigree adornment. Condition: Filigree adornment with small loss (see picture). Slightly worn. Dimension: Closed length 26,8 cm., height 11 cm. Weight: 382 gram.

A Turkish traveling pen case from Ottoman era, made of brass. The elongated part is hinged in one end and is used for paper and pen. The barrel-shaped inkwell also hinged and nicely decorated. The stamp of the manufacturer? is on the front, left of the inkwell, but can not be clearly seen. Condition: Very good, except two dents seen on the back side, and a very small hardly noticeable one on the front. With proper tools and knowledge I'm sure the dents can be fixed or made smaller.
