An excellent example of a 19th century Jambiya from the Southern Marshes of Iraq. Of characteristic form. Well forged, file-finished 10 inch blade of thick cross section. Carved wood handle with excellent patina. Good condition, and with period asshide covered wooden scabbard. Measures approx. 16inches overall.

This carved Egyptian brass pot has a great deal of detail and texture within it's traditional design. There is a continuous chain of Mythological figures depicted encircling the belly of the pot with a granulated texture throughout. Antique Kurdish Jambiya Dagger w faux wootz, c. 1875

Well made Kurdish Jambiya with horn handle and wooden sheath covered in silver koftgari mounts and a woven textile. The blade with well defined medial ridge and a faux wootz pattern, as seen on some of these distinctive daggers. Good condition, with some roughness to the last half of the fore-edge, and one ring missing from the scabbard. A very sturdy blade. Measures approx 29cm (11.5in) overall.
