A small Sumatran ladies wedding keris: wood handle, wood sheath, straight blade. Garuda or Java Sakit handle, incised detailing. Straight blade with some pamour. Sheath done in banded wood; tip inlaid in horn. Purchased in London, 1960. From an old Chicago estate.

A wonderful carved ladle or spoon from Trobriand Island, late 19th century. It is 6-1/2" long and has a nice bird design carved at the end of the handle. The broad rim also has nice designs incised into it. In excellent condition, with nice patina.
