Antique Chinese round porcelain container with painted landscape scene of mountains with two sages sitting on a bridge. The lid is skillfully painted with subtle details. The edge is painted with an imitation of copper. The base has four characters painted in blue on the base. The interior is white. It measures 4" diameter 1"7/8" tall. Circa 1900.

The main container has 2 sections and there is an additional rimmed tray which fits just inside below the tightly fitted lid. Antique Japanese hanging scroll of monkeys in stone snow lanterns in a forest of pine trees. A mother forages for food while her infant feeds. In the lower lantern a monkey gazes over the snow the second has captured an insect. It measures overall: 21" by 80" image: 15.5" by 44.75". Meiji period 1868-1912.
This small antique Chinese wooden storage container was used for calligraphy implements. Inksticks would have been held in the rear center compartment. Calligraphy brushes would have been held upright on the right and left side compartments. Seals or chops would have been stored in the lidded section. Originally painted with black lacquer, this piece has great age and wear patina.
Lovely sterling silver demitasse spoon, the handle decorated with four shades of translucent enamel. The plique-a-jour technique allows light to shine through, creating a stained glass effect. The exposed areas of silver are gilt. The back of the bowl is marked "JT830".

This Arts and Crafts era Austrian handpainted 2-5/8" tall demitasse cup and matching 4-1/2" saucer depicts Puss in Boots walking on a country road with a windmill, trees and hills in the background. Beautiful Antique Japanese tea kettle. Made in iron, there are vertical striations down the sides of kettle overlayed with bunches of grapes and vines, as well as flying birds. The guard shape of the kettle and handle symbolizes the seasonal autumn months and harvest. The kettle lid models a bronze red two toned beautifully lacquered glazing. Flower like details in bronze circle the top of lid. Inscription inside lid reads Ryubundo, the noted studio produced iron tea kettles.

A superb and vintage Art Nouveau 12-3/4" across Austro-Hungarian ceramic wall plaque depicting a lovely woman with an earring and flowers in her hair c1905. This terracotta plaque is probably by Ernst Wahliss, and it has an impressed flying dove stamp with a pattern number 1518. It also has a pencil notation 5620/23, which was typical. Some Wahliss items had a foil tag which often became lost. It has a brown border, a black ground and an ivory coloured face with brownish hair...
