An authentic large Tang tomb Attendant wearing a typical attendant's outfit with remains of the original pigments. Early 19th C bronze Southeast Asian betel nut cutter in the anthropomorphic form of Garuda, a bird-like creature in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain mythology. Garuda is believed to be a powerful ever watchful protector with the ability to swiftly go anywhere. The blade is slightly bent from years of use, otherwise in very good condition, this cutter measures 6" long, 5" high, and 1.75 inches across the wings.

Chinese underglaze Porcelain Blue and White Tea Jar, 18th century, 4 1/2", 1 3/4" diameter-top rim, 2 1/2" diameter-bottom rim, 4 1/4"w-widest area, underglaze blue design of Lotus sprouting upward from the water in the pond, interlocking with precious Chinese symbols, unglazed bottom rim and top. The bottom shows the double underglaze Blue circles. The condition is good, no damages or restorations.

A "töla gasa" ceremonial bracelet of the Nias people made from "tridacna gigas" (giant clam shell). For a similar example please visit the website of the "Musée Quai Branly" in Paris. 18th century netsuke of a standing Dutchman wearing a wig, supporting a Chinese boy on his back with his left hand and holding a tasseled trumpet in his right, a shallow ruff at his neck. Superb quality carving - see the smiling face of the Dutchman with jutting chin and small mouth, his upper teeth showing, wonderful rhythm to the curls of the wig. Well balanced - stands on its own on flat surface...

Late 18th to early 19th century staghorn / bone Kyoto school netsuke of a seated shishi (Buddhist lion) hugging a large ball. Unusual material for the subject, strong early piece with beautiful wear and patina consistent with age, wonderful face, powerful oversized paws, eyes are inlaid with brown horn. Very nice hairwork (see its mane and bushy tail), old age lines, deep himotoshi going through the back down to the bottom. Wonderful sculpture. Height 1 11/16 inches.

18th century good size netsuke of a grazing horse with its head lowered to the left and its tail swishing around at the back. The eyes are inlaid with black horn, differently sized and deep himotoshi in accordance with the habit of the time. Great face, wonderful depiction of its mane, stands on its own on a flat surface. Beautiful sheen from wear, honey colored patina on the back. Netsuke of characteristic 18th century triangular section, old age line along the spine of the creature...

A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. They were then traded off to Chieftains in Southeast Asia and were considered sacred items. Most jars were from the Ming to the middle Qing Dynasties. This one is very rare as it dates back to the Song Dynasty. This vase was found in Borneo, Malaysia. It is unusual to find this size jar intact from that period. Size: H. 76 cm. W. 57 cm...

Rather unusual late 18th to early 19th century Japanese bronze temple decoration fixture of a tennin - a female buddhist angel - as it flies playing a Shu - Japanese musical instrument from a flute group used in Shinto ceremony and consisting of bamboo reeds forming a circular wind chamber. Wonderful design, beautiful flow of her billowing scarves, gilded highlights, great patina. Very well cast, pleasantly heavy, peg on the back for fixing it to a temple or pedestal wall. Length 6 inches.

Chinese Western to Eastern Jin dynasty (ca. 4th century) Yue ware dish-mouth vase (pan kou hu) with wide shoulders tapering to a flat, slightly concave unglazed base. Two double-strand lug handles are at the top of the shoulder connecting to the bottom of the short neck. It is covered in a thin, light buff-celadon colored glaze that extends down toward the unglazed base. The glaze becomes more buff-tan in coloration in a patch on one shoulder and in some areas of the neck and mouth. 11" high...

Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Vase, Ca. 1920, early Taisho period, "Hotoda" signed, 6 1/2" high, 4 3/4" wide include handles, fine detailed decoration of Dragon and Rankans between nice fine gold background. The condition is good.

Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Koro, Incense Burner, on Tripod feet and two(2) Elephant Handles, signed "Senzan", Ca. Meiji period 1910, 5" high include Foo Dog top, 6 1/4" wide include 2 handles, ladies and Gentlemen in Japanese traditional clothes within several circles between multiple bands of flowers, Gold Foo Lion knob and 3 heart shape openings on top. The condition is good except tiny frit inside the rim on the bottom piece.
