An exceptional early Dutch or German brass repousee watering can, from a noble estate, with highborn male in relief, c. 1680-1720.

A finely constructed large can with an extra long spout, made to use in the large manshion green houses and gardens of the late baroque period.

A lovely finial of an Eagles head, European, Gothic style, renaissance, c. 16th. century or earlier, mounted as a part of an attractive double iron coat hook and plate, dated 1823.

The substantial finial still with remnants of old gilt and the iron coat hook, finely dated and initialized in the late 18th. century manor. A nice marriage, probably made in the late 18th.-early 19th. century.

A large and attractive stone jar, Mesopotamia, Sumer c. 2800-2400 BC.

With the finely concave walls, similar to a jar found in the Royal tombs of Queen Puabi, 2600-2450 BC and jars from Jiroft in this period, dates this jar to the Sumerian period.

The stone used is a rare and very lovely pink calcite, some of the colour probably patina. the stone is banded in clear bands and semi-transperant when lighted. With cream inclusions.

19th century Chinese scholar’s burl wood belt buckle with a dragon head finial looking at her cub crawling over her belly. Could have been used as a brush rest. Wonderful quality carving, beautiful rhythm to the movement of the cub’s body. Excellent quality burl wood with subtle play of shades of brown, great wear and patina, very pleasant feel of age. 19th century Japanese silver obidome (sash ornament) realistically made in a shape of a luxurious chrysanthemum flower. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, and is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions. I did not test the metal, but am absolutely sure that it is silver, which in Japan was usually 925 or 950 purity. Very clever design, excellent detailing, metal fixture with two loops on the back for an obi cord, in great condition...
A rare and very large medical grade brass mortar with Dolphin handles, after Dutch model, Dutch or Northern European, c. 1690-1700.

An elegant mortar with concenthric lines and a gothic design with the wide mouth and two dolphin handles applied at the waist. The mortar comes with the original pestle. Such a large size and fine execution mortar for the period, would have been made for a pharmacy.

A lovely larger figure of the seated Guanyin on a Lion, finely gilt and laquered, China, Late Qing Dynasty, 19th. century.

The figure was carved in hardwood with a very serene expression and with respect to tiny details. She is seated on a temple Lion with an elaborate hair dress and lawish gilt, with a stylized rock in red as base.

An exceptional style early Thai bronze buddha in a massive size for the period, Northern Thailand, c. 13th. century or perhaps slightly later.

Buddha is standing performing the gesture of absence of fear (abhaya mudra), dressed in a long monastic cloak revealing the shape of the body and the garment beneath, and held at the waist by a belt. He is displaying the roundel in his palm.
The figure shows clear elements from Lopburi / Khmer art with it's large lips and round faces etc...
