In fine hardwood, painted and with multiple inserted stones.

Apulian black-glazed guttus of globular body with gently sloped shoulder, upright narrow neck and flared spout. The flared rim decorated with impressed rings.
The loop handle is attached on the shoulder, which is embellished with horizontal grooves. Red wash around and underneath the foot.

High-quality Greek black-glazed skyphos with straight walls and two horizontal handles. The ring foot is skillfully modeled with carefully turned inside.
The quality of the pottery shows the treatment of standard Attic products. J. W. Hayes refers to these as Atticizing wares, cf. pp. 43 in: Greek and Italian Black-Gloss Wares and Related Wares in the Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto 1984.

Condition: Nice Very Fine, a small chips to the edge of the rim. Unsusually finely preserved surfaces.

Black-figure lekythos decorated with two heraldic lions looking back over their shoulders. Rosette and dots in the field.
The vase belongs to the Dolphin Group, which is named after the leaping dolphins on the shoulder. Our piece shows the later decoration of large inverted lotus wreaths.

The fantastic creature shows a beautiful female head with chubby facial features. The curly hair is entwined with ivy leaves.
The imposing lion body with powerful clawed paws and short wings attached to the sides. The cord around the neck is knotted between the breasts.
The figure is conceived as a pouring vessel. Next to the wing and the rear handle is a raised ridge with a sieve-like inlet...

Greek perfume vessel of cylindrical body tapering at the neck with flat everted rim and a delicate ridge around the shoulder. Small depression below the rounded base; polished surface.
Alabastra would have held scented oil and, based on paintings on pottery, were frequently owned by women for use after bathing.

Fine red-figure lekythos decorated with a woman clad in a heavy himation, her wrapped hands in front of her chest. The finely pleated chiton underneath rendered with dilute glaze.
The woman stands in front of a column with prominent capital and base, on the right a suspended sash.
The frieze with a key pattern and top and a reserved ground line. Two bands of (faded) tongues on the shoulder. Outer edge and bottom of the foot reserved...

The head of the Buddha, carved with benevolent expression, almond-shaped eyes, fragmentary pierced elongated earlobes, straight triangular nose, his hair arranged in rows of stylized curls. This extremely hard to find pre-Khmer piece dates back to circa 350 AD, probably Khrom. Made of black hard stone it is 7 In (17 cms) height of the piece mount not included. A very rare intact larger terracotta sculpture of a group of deities, Early Roman, ca. 1st. century AD.

She is standing semi-nude with a draped gown at her back and elaborate headdress. Below stands to smaller attendants, perhaps kids / smaller deities. Beautiful intact terracotta which should be researched some more.

Size: 22 cm. tall and wide as well.

Condition: Superb! Perfectly preserved with uncleaned sediments.

Wonderful archaic Southern SE Asian style of his face with the pronounced brows, a flat nose and thick lips. His eyes are thick and downcast and he wears a slight smile. He is standing on a square pedestal.

A fine stamp seal of calcified (or burnt?) calchedony, Neo-Babynian, c. 8th-7th. cent. BC.

Attractive trapezoid style seal. These seals are usually carved with Marduk at the alter, but this has a rare depiction of a sword, rhomboid symbol (perhaps and eye) and the Sun and Moon for the two major Babylonian deities of Marduk and Sin. A rare depiction. Size: 22 mm. tall and 20 mm wide.
