Circa 1900, table size burlwood box with an unusual scalloped skirt. Was probably a jewelry box as there is a mirror on the inside lid and indications that there was once a tray inside. Original velvet lining. In excellent antique condition, it measures 12.5ʺ wide, 6.25ʺ deep, and 5ʺ high.

A Northern Chinese black ware dish; Jin to Yuan dynasty. Probably from Henan province. Overall covered in a dark glaze which terminates to the exterior well above the foot. The interior of the dish was fully glazed, then a ring wiped clean for stacking purposes. The dish is decorated to the interior with five evenly spaced splashes of iron-oxide; which have fired reddish brown. In good condition. Diameter 16.8 cm

Antique Korean pair of bedside chests on stands, with natural burl front panels. Both chests have book-matched front doors, meaning each door mirrors the other, creating symmetry. Original finish wood.

A perfectly and very thinly potted lobed porcelain dish. Brightly enamelled with a floral and fruit decoration with bats and shou characters. The outlines of the very decorative enamel decoration probably transfer printed. Underglaze blue 6 character Qianlong Mark. Republican period. Diameter : 18,4 cm. Condition : Perfect.

Japanese Early 20th century bronze vase. The vase is of bulbous form with wide neck and rim. The vase has a small geometric design on the front and back done in relief. Made by KATORI HOZUMA (1874-1954). Comes with original artist box. Signature of artist, HOZUMA on base. 9" tall by 7" wide at its widest. (kanesu)

Japanese Satsuma vase shows two main polychrome panels of families in rural and domestic settings; all surrounded by profuse and very detailed gilt diaper work; signed on the base, Gyokuzan; good condition

A round, convex shield with four central bosses. Decorated with raised design of tendrils, embellished with black and red enamel, and some tin plated areas. Reverse with four attaching bronze rings and a velvet pad. Compare with a similar shield in the Royal Ontario museum. Condition: few losses to enamel and wear to tinned areas, reverse with some residue of solder. Dimension: diameter: 28 cm.

A beautiful Imari Japanese style bowl but from China. Probably made for the Chinese market

Ancient Roman red terracotta ware from the 2nd-3rd centuries A.D. "Terra sigillata," an offering bowl of typical rounded form, with averted rim, incised with circular lines, resting on a low ring base. This type of red terracotta ware was made throughout the Roman Empire between the 1st and 5th centuries A.D.

"Terra sigillata" is a fine type of Roman ceramic, coveted for its smooth, red slipped finish that emerged around 40 B.C...

An authentic and vintage Dutch Delft blue and white 9-1/4" plate. This plate has a floriate design and it has the expected blue-tinged underglaze. This unsigned plate is in fair condition with the loss of the glaze around the rim, some minor rim chips, a glued bisected break and a y-shaped crack meeting at the bisected break. The glue is old-style yellow, and this plate is certainly worthy of restoration...

A late 18/19th Century QING DYNASTY ENAMEL BOX with ultramarine blue background and fine Polychrome Flower and Pomegranate decorations. The interior of box, including the lid and the base are in a light turquoise enamel. The top depicts 2 people in a landscape scene. Very good condition, no chips, damage or restorations. Size: H. 6 cm x L. 8 cm.

Antique Chinese framed hand-woven Kesi panel, made from silk with gold thread, depicting a scene of court women, attending to the central figure by offering her tea, a lotus, and other accoutrements. The surrounding area has large scholar rocks and plants with ruyi motifs, a platform with a picture of waves hung against the wall. The front and backside may be viewed through the framing, which has edges carved like bamboo with gold finish...

Japanese two-panel folding screen of horses crossing a bridge with scenic background of mountains. Taisho period early 20th century.

Sutra book clasp cast in the shape of an H, with a Tibetan "dorje" (or "vajra") placed horizontally at its center. Square opening at top and bottom for attachment. Bronze, with partly encrusted greenish patina. Tibet, 17th century, maybe earlier. Height: 1 5/8" (4,2 cm). The piece is nicely mounted on a custom wood stand. Erosion due to great age, otherwise good condition. Note: such implement was used to lock the straps that kept a "sutra" book (a book containing Buddhist texts) closed.
