The vases, English from circa 1850, sit on a rococo style attached base with light blue and gilt molded leaves for the base of a fluted and molded vase with a flaring and serrated top rim. The molded flowers are painted in bright enamels. The porcelain is bright white. Both have a sticky label on the underside for the Hackman Collection with the Number,”80” presumably an inventory number. They are 6 inches tall and 4 inches at the widest.

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...

A large ceramic charger with a yellow and black rim enclosing an elaborate scene depicting a version of, “The Toilet of Venus.” Participants include a partially clad Venus, plenty of putti, satyrs, a couple of unclad men and a pair of panthers. Venus is the center of attention. For a very rough comparison, Francesco Albini depicted the subject in 1621 in a painting now at the Louvre. This piece dates to the late 19th century...

A simple, small but stout iron tsuba. The Myochin line of metal workers were armor makers who also produced tsuba. The simple decoration upper-right here could be a flower head or a snowflake. Udenuki-ana appear lower left. Good condition. Height 2 3/4 inches (69 cm), Width 2 9/16 inches (65 cm), and 6/32 of an inche (5 mm) thick.

A large Arita celadon and Blue & White porcelain dish, 18th century.

The attractive dish with a misty village and waterfall scene within a moulded celadon border. The back celadon glazed to the foot-rim which contains a six-character Chenghua mark and five neat spur marks.

Kato Shuntai is a notable potter from Seto area, Aichi prefecture who lived in the late Edo period...

A good sized bowl and cover decorated with a striking pattern of stylised Bamboo leaves with spirals and zigzag motifs. The bowl and cover are of conventional form. The handle has the form of a tied bundle of noshi, dried abalone strips, which are usually associated with the act of giving and ceremonial use, so this may possibly be a presentation piece. The bowl and cover probably dates to the late Mid Edo period, circa 1730-60, Kyoho to Horeki...

Pair of Tiele (Chinese Ironwood) Weiqi boxes, carved from solid wood. Weiqi was the forerunner of the Japanese board game of Go, and one of the Four Arts, that someone from the "gentleman class" were supposed to know. These boxes are used to put the stone pieces in. There is cyclical date which probably doesn’t go further back than 1972 therefore they could be 1984, 1996, 2008, 2000, 2012...

This is a very elegant ramie summer children's kimono from the Edo period. The sleeves have a hand-painted bamboo pattern. The family crest is the rare mitsumorikumikaku. There are no stains or damage, and it is very carefully made.size: Length :90cm (35.4inch) / sleeve to sleeve :83cm (32.6inch)

This is a Japanese antique edo era silk tsutsugaki natural indigo dye yuzendye fukusa textile of (iseebi)Lobster and wave pattern. Ise Lobster was drawn very precisely. It is a tsutsugaki dye and Yuzen dyeing of hand-drawn dyeing There is a slight pale discoloration. There is a small hole in the lining safflower-dyed silk.
