This is a finely carved Japanese Netsuke depicting four Karakos, in their typical garb, forming a musical group and playing their instruments. Very charming piece. Unsigned.
Netsuke measures 1.48 inches (3.8cm) wide, and 1.06 inches (2.7cm) tall.
This porcelain bowl was produced in France by Bawo & Dotter Limoges, often called Elite Limoges, around 1900. It has two marks indicating that it was factory decorated. The bowl measures 10 inches in diameter and is 3 3/4 inches high. It has a scalloped rim and foot. There are little flowers molded in high relief around the rim. The decoration is hand painted. Colorful roses in bright colors tumble down the side into the center. A ring of roses decorates the outside of the bowl...
This porcelain dish was produced in England around 1825. There is a hand painted pattern number 1079 on the back with no other markings. It measures 9 1/2 inches across the handles, 8 1/2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. It has molded handles and is slightly concave in the middle. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. The hand painting is quite elaborate with floral cartouches in the corners, a wonderful basket of flowers in the center, and elaborate gilded embellishments...
