This is a great 1890 mohair cat that stands nicely on its own. He has about 70% of his mohair. He has a loved face with a bit of a pushed up nose. I think he is a Steiff but is without a button. He is 13" long and 9" tall to the top of his head.

A Japanese thinly potted porcelain bowl that is decorated both inside and out with scenes of a Japanese village. The artist has detailed the houses, lake, boat, fisherman, people and a temple, and applied a beautiful gold border. The bowl measures about 2 1/2" high x 6" in diameter, and dates to the end of the Meiji Period. The bowl has been signed "eight days made", which is similar to the names of other Kutani studios from this period. The condition is excellent/perfect...

A medium sized Imari bowl from the 19th Century. The bowl is of fine quality and has a rare, hand applied, overall brocade decoration. In the inside there is a garden scene and a golden hawk that are made to look like they are from a rolled out scroll. The bowl measures about 2 1/2" high x 8 1/2" in diameter, and it is in excellent condition. There is a little wear on the gold highlights. The asking price includes shipping within the USA.

Coombes shows a cream jug in the same pattern. None of the pieces are signed. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and is 1 inch deep. It is notable that this saucer does not have a foot rim and is unglazed on the bottom, a detail which is mentioned in the book. The tea cup is 2 1/8 inches tall...
