A lovely and very rare matching set of massive dishes, made with the Habsburg Coat Of Arms and portraits of Albert (Albrecht VII), Archduke of Austria, 13 November 1559 – 13 July 1621 and Isabella Clara Eugenia, sovereign of the Habsburg Netherlands between 1598 and 1621.

Beautifully preserved ribbed bowl of blue-green color with a magnificent iridescene.It is not known whether ribbed bowl was used for drinking, but it was used for washing hands during meals.

Standing on an integral plinth against an inscribed back pillar, with prominent facial details, depicted mummiform with the arms crossing his chest, his hands emerging from his tightly fitting garment, holding hoes, a seed sack over his left shoulder, wearing a tripartite headcloth and a braided beard. 4 inches high. This very rare pottery model of a bird, either a duck or a goose, was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is "heavily-potted" and made from quite a high-fired grey pottery. The duck stands with its neck and wings stretched, as if in the act of preparing to fly. Note the detail, especially to the wings, with the tiger heads.
