Gio Ponti "A Canne" vase for Venini. Designed by Gio Ponti in 1946/1947 in his first period at Venini. Flared beaker form of multicolored vertical glass canes with wavy rim. 3 line etch "venini murano ITALIA" to base. This spectacular vase stands 6 3/4 inches (17 cm) tall and is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) in diameter at the rim. No chips, cracks or repairs. Circa 1948.
