From the workshop of George Roth of Hanau Germany, ca 1895, this silver casket is beautifully crafted in the French rococo style. It measures 4 1/2" x 4 5/8" x 3", and is good heavy weight, 12 troy ounces. The interior has some remnants of gilding remaining, and the locking mechanism is visible (no key). It is stamped on the bottom with the marks of George Roth, with crowns over an A, a P, and a Fleur de lis. George Roth was a silversmith in Hanau, working between 1891 and 1908, and like man...

A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. Each piece has a mother of pearl handle with excellent lustre and green and pink flash. The ferrules are unmarked and nicely embossed (they may be silver - we haven't tested them and it wasn't required to mark small, light items)...

A stunning fire patinated bronze vase. The mottled verdigris background in contrast with copper red patinated areas of resist in leaf patterns complete with veining to the leaves and texture to the sustaining twigs. This seems to be of a good quality bronze alloy - emitting a bell resonance when lightly struck. Unmarked but consistent with German and Austrian work from the early 20th century. An English silver plated swing handle bread or fruit basket with a cutout pierced gallery. This attractive, high quality table accessory measures 10-1/2 x 8-1/8" across and the handle rises to 8-1/2" high. It has a pierced or openwork gallery and what appears to be shamrock cutouts. It is stamped with CJA EPNS MADE IN ENGLAND and the maker is Charles James Allen (1898~1912)...

This Brass paper clip is a great desk accessory as well as a collectible antique. It dates to 1880.

Table form Cigar Lighter in Sterling silver. Lighter is shaped like an ornate Aladdin's lamp. The lighter is missing it's wick holder, and has a few minor dings. The piece is hallmarked Edinburgh and has the word STERLING and the number 80. The piece measures 4 inches (10.16 cm) long, 3 inches (7.62 cm) tall and is 1 7/8 inches (4.6 cm) wide. Circa 1923.

A Victorian Brass Coal Hod or Bucket with a Swing Handle on Top and a Fixed Handle on the Back. Dimensions 14" x 12" x 17" to handle. Some minor dents, but overall in excellent condition.

Rare vintage sterling silver sauce bowl designed and signed circa 1949 by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Bowl measures 7 inches long end to end X 4 inches wide at center X 2 1/2" tall and weighs 161 grams, 5.7 oz. Signed on the bottom SPRATLING DE MEXICO STERLING eagle # 13. Perfect condition with no dents or dings. Referred to as the disc pattern in Spratling's early catalogs this bowl was made for less than one year...

A Sheffield plated tea urn circa 1806, on four ball feet, fluted paw-foot columns, body of circular form having two ring handles and oval plate stamped with London, 1806, TH marks, the dome cover has ball finial and greek key design border, no lamp, overall very good condition consistant with age, some wear of plating, one ball foot having two concentric circles instead of three, one ball foot brass, 19 in. H approx.

English George IV sterling silver wine jug, London, 1829, by silversmith Benjamin Preston. Size: 9 3/8 in. ht. x 7 1/2" x 5 in. 23.3 Troy ounces. An attractive and substantial hot water or wine jug, adorned with applied acanthus leaf motifs and repousse work. and supported on three scrolled feet. Engraved with family monogram in a cartouche, and with later presentation from 1928 on base. Nice condition but with a single push in on the underside where one foot attaches.

A pair of modernist silver candlesticks by Pedro Lopez G. Mexican. Circa 1950s. Sterling silver. Size: 5.5 inches ht. Modern Aztec design Not weighted, 8.6 Troy ounces.

A Large Victorian Silver Plate Fish Slice Set with Ivory Handles, by Harrison Bros. & Howson, Sheffield, circa 1885. The Set is a heavy 14.5 ounces in total. The Ivory Handle is mellowed and has age splits in each handle. The Fish Knife is a large 13" and the Serving Fork is 10.5", both with etching and piercing.

A Joan of Arc International sterling silver handle 3 pc large carving set. It consists of the 13-3/8" carving knife, the 11-1/8" carving fork and the 13-1/8" sharpening steel. The tines and blade are stainless steel, the handles are sterling silver and the guards/bolsters are silver, rather than stainless steel (the pattern was introduced in 1940). This 3 piece is in superb condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs and it shows only slight signs of gentle use...

An Art Nouveau sterling daisy flower purse handle chain from the 1900 era. This 16-3/8" chain consists of oval daisy flower cast sterling silver links which are 3/8" wide. Originally on a late Victorian purse, this chain has two large loop for mounting but it could easily have a clasp added for use as a necklace (or a doubled bracelet). It is stamped STERLING on the mounting rings, it weighs 33.0 grams and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A pair of Gorham 1190 sterling silver convertible 11-1/4" candlesticks with 3 pieces. These weighted candlesticks include the weighted 4-3/4" bases which act as short candlesticks, the 2-7/8" candle holder bell which can mount to the bases or on top of the 4-1/8" conical taper which can also screw into the base. When all pieces are mounted these fine table decorations are 11-1/4" tall. They have the Gorham marks on the bottom and they are probably from the 1950s or 1970s...

A Gorham Sterling Silver Sauce or Soup Ladle in the "Cottage" Pattern (introduced in 1861). It is 10.75" long and weighs 5.4 Troy ounces. Excellent condition. Monogram (see picture).

English George III period sterling silver oval tea caddy, London, 1796, by John Crouch I and Thomas Hannam. Size: 4 inches high x 4 inches long x 2 1/2 inches deep. Excellent condition with no repairs or damage. Engraved on the front with a family crest. Fully hallmarked on the side and also on the lid with lion passant and maker's stamp. The wooden finial is carved and is secured to the cover with a sterling nut.
