This is an antique fukusa (Japanese gift cover) that the design came from the old folk tale called Urashima Taro. It is the story of a man who rescued a turtle from a group of cruel children. The turtle, who happened to be a princess of a dragon palace in disguise, returns later to thank him. The turtle invited him to tour the undersea world to her palace. He spends many days wined (with sake, I suppose) and dined, forgetting the time...

A wonderful handpainted 2" high round cup and matching 5-1/4" saucer in the Old Imari 2451 pattern, produced by Royal Crown Derby. This English bone china cup and saucer have the Derby mark with the year cypher for 1906; the saucer also has the 06 date impressed under the glaze. Vintage green, white and violet enamel, Late Art Nouveau motif to Early Art Deco Enamel Watch Fob Chain Silver Color Metal marked: MADE IN GERMANY and a bird mark. Some say that green, white & violet were the suffragettes' "secret colors" and those who vociferously disagree! Would rather believe the former, as more cryptic and romantic, no? Marked with importers mark for John George Smith, London, 1900. 7/8'' h. x 2 1/4'' x 1 3/4''. 2) German 800 silver marked with repousse fruit & foliate designs on hinged lid and body, 1 1/4'' x 2 3/8'' x 1 3/4''. A Large Spanish Colonial Brass Candlestick, or Altar Stick from circa 1750. It has a 4" Drip Plate, a Turned Shaft, a Coat of Arms Seal in the Tripod base that stand on Three Paw Feet. It is 14.5" high x 7.25" wide at the tripod base. It weighs an imposing 3 pounds 8 ounces. It is in very good condition for a period piece.

Continental standing cow creamer fashioned of 800 standard silver, with a German origin. Circa late 19th/early 20th century. The cow exhibits a pair of forward curling horns, has its tail curled on the top of its back, and displays a full udder. There is a hinged cover on its back for filling, and the cream pours through its mouth. Excellent condition and with wonderful detailing to the cow's features. The cow stands firmly, but has a very slight wobble. No repairs...
Measuring 12 1/2", and finely cast in bronze, this figure represents a Faun or Satyr, one of the followers of Pan, and the original was discovered in the ruins of Pompeii in 1830.
With good detail, and true to the original statue, this one has a dark patina, with verdigris visible around the head primarily, and some wear to the patina on the body.
Of nineteenth century original, and most likely a Grand Tour souvenir.
Early 19th century Chinese porcelain lidded jar, depicting "children at play" theme, height of this item is 12 inches with diameter of 8.5 inches, sign of wear to paintings due to the old age.
This is a great sterling silver repousse letter opener by the prominent Baltimore silver smiths Kirk and son. The 5 7/8” long sterling letter opener is vermeil (gold plated) and not counting some minor scratches is in very good condition. The letter opener is hallmarked Kirk & Son and Sterling.
