A fine pair of framed cross stitch needlepoint floral pictures from the 1950s. This pair features red roses with green foliage on one and variable coloured poppies onn the other. They measure 5-1/8" square (sight size) in their gilt 1950s style 6-3/4" frames; they are unsigned and the petitpoint work may be older than the frames. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A lovely Venini “A Canne” Vase with alternating canes of Straw Yellow, Amber and Crystal glass. This large blown glass vase measures 11 ½ inches (29.2 cm) Tall, and tapers from a diameter of 5 inches (12.7 cm) at the base to 7 ¾ inches (19.7cm) at the top edge. Top edge is slightly wavy, and the base has a polished pontil, one clear round Venini label and one “vetri murano” label to the side. No chips, cracks or repairs. Signed on the base venini/italia/84

Chinese stone seal with dragon finial, nineteenth century China. Dimensions: Height of the seal carving is 3 1/8 inches with width of 1 7/8 inches and depth of 1 1/8 inches. Condition Report: Great condition.

Measuring 9 1/2" to the top of the finial on the lid, this blue and white faience or delft tankard is mounted with pewter lid and base, and is painted with deep rich blue scenes and foliate elements. On both sides there are scenes of a castle with trees, and the designs cover much of the surface of the tankard. The pewter lid has a medallion with a hunting scene of a boar and dog, with an inscription below the scene "17 G L SF 84", referring to the date and possible ownership...

Art Nouveau plique a jour translucent, shaded enamel & gilt silver sugar tongs. Unmarked, but Norwegian in origin. Circa 1890-1920. Size: 5 inches in length. These fabulous tongs are fashioned in gilded silver that is formed with dramatic scrolls filled with shaded translucent enamels colored in various shades of green, blue, yellow, amethyst, and orange. The cast grips are formed like Scandinavian biting beasts. Nice condition, with no missing enamel or repairs.

George III two handled sterling silver cup by silversmith John Langlands I, Newcastle, 1769. Size: 5 inches ht. x 7.5 inches wide x 4 inches diameter; 10.43 troy ounces. John Langlands came from a noted family of plate makers. The cup has two opposing scroll handles, each of which bears the18th century owners' engraved, shaded block initials - M*M and M.W. Superb Chinese natural white Hetian jade pendant; depicting a fortune cabbage. Dimension: 67 x 31 x 8 (mm) or 2.63 x 1.22 x 0.31 inches with total weight of 0.08 lbs/38 grams, no condition issues. Introduction; Chinese Hetian Nephrite Jade Hetian jade, a nephrite jade, is regarded as the only true jade in ancient China until Burmese jadeite becomes popular in late Qing Dynasty. An English Victorian claret jug in cut crystal mounted with a sterling silver handle and spout with hinged cover. Fully hallmarked on the silver neck for Birmingham, 1892, by Vale Brothers & Sermon. Size: 8.5" ht. x 5.5" x 4.5". Condition: No chips, cracks, dents, or repairs. Crystal is clear apart from some slight cloudiness on the very bottom of the jug (which might be removed with soaking).

American document box with folk art inlaid design. Mahogany. Mid 19 century. A ripple edge molding adorns all edges as well as the base of this box. The top and sides are decorated with contrasting light and dark wood inlays, including a compass point and six stars on the lid and a heart and scroll design to the front. Size: 14 3/8 inches length x 8 7/8 inches depth x 6 inches height. Condition: some loss to the ripple molding. From a Woodstock, Vermont residence.

Chinese Guan-style ceramic bowl, with everted rims above the shallow bowl, further raised on a short foot, coated with a cracked celadon glaze, the recessed base reveals the brown clay body. Size: Diameter of this fine bowl is 7.6 inches. Condition Report: Very good condition.

A contemporary match safe fashioned in the shape of a hound's head in sterling silver, London, by silversmith David A. Bowles, 2004. This match safe or vesta case is a contemporary copy of a Victorian original. It is very detailed and of heavy weight. The dog's collar hinges open to reveal the matches inside, and there is a striker under the chin. Fully hallmarked for London, 2004. Size: 2 inches length x 1.25 inches depth x 1 inch ht. Excellent original condition, with no damage.
