This fine late Victorian 1-1/4" across locket features wonderful Nouveau tendrils and poppies along with the original white paste rhinestones. This brass necklace is Circa 1870 with one genuine Egyptian scarab beetle showing it's multi green copper 'metallic' looking iridescent hues still present after these 130 years! Real critter's shell is claw set in a very ornate front & back brass mounting pendant attached to original chain. The highly ornate pendant portion has such lovely Egyptian symbols and designs that one would say it looks very Art Deco, as that era too celebrated that country's motifs. A Victorian gold filled double slide expanding gentleman's watch fob chain. This 9-1/4" (maximum) chain shrinks to 6-1/8" when the two engraved slides are separated (which contracts the chain forming a double chain between them, shown partly drawn in our second image). It has a t-bar and a swivel as well as two textured balls which act as stops for the slides. It is stamped W.LH.&Co. on the swivel and it is a neat bit of Victorian ingenuity...

This hand engraved antique 1-5/16" locket is stamped P&M with other symbols and 2 10 (maker unidentified). The genuine half pearls are arrayed in the form of a lily of the valley flower and this lovely matte finish locket is in excellent antique condition with only the expected slight signs of wear / patina...

If this is not Art Nouveau, what is? Curly "C". Warm Brass Sash Ornament with Light Turquoise Blue Cabochons which have been louped and found 'no bubbles', some have said they are 'rare, unusual' stones used in the 19th Century. Who knows, they are perfectly bezeled with some minor, faint lines from 100 years of use! 2.5" X 2.25". Cabs pear, oval and round shape.
