A design that doesn’t come up very often, these figural Mexican Deco silver earrings by Los Castillo remind me of Old World “wind” representations. I love the sense of powerful forward motion they convey with the curling repousse silverwork and the feather-like trail that the “winds” leave behind them as they sweep through the skies. I wonder what the rest of the parure looks like...

Dramatic with a signed Taxco 980 which always reflects quality. The drop is 4.5in. across and 2.5in. tall. The weightis 54 grams (open backed repousse) The technique of the workmanship is seldom seen. Part of the individual link is thick base with deep chasing and the other end is open backed repousse giving dimension and then carved on top of that. No damage and the wearable is 18in. of comfort. The last picture is the necklace with a cuff already listed on my site...

A brooch that unabashedly lures the eye and invites the touch this sterling silver and golden sheen obsidian treasure bears the signature of Erika Hult de Corral, one of the few female designers of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance that we know of and definitely the only modernist. de Corral's work can be truly inspired - and she has a way with silver and stones that makes the materials simply flow into each other effortlessly, as if they were always meant to be together...

Magnificent sterling and onyx necklace by Antonio Pineda. The jagged shaped links are strung on a double silver chain and they all move. There is an interesting pattern in the front section of the necklace where some links have a cut out section and the facing link has a diamond shaped inset onyx. This spectacular necklace measures approximately 15" around in the inside ( cannot be exact as it curves) and is 1" wide in the front and the links taper to 1/2" in the back...

This showpiece from Margot de Taxco is supremely rare. I've not seen another. It's a necklace which instantly commands attention.

The huge centerpiece can be used as a pendant necklace, or detached from the chain to serve as a pin.

It is a spectacular necklace, with a huge almost Foo Dog design with earrings...

One of the few female designers of Mexico’s 20th c. Silver Renaissance that we know of, Erika Hult de Corral excelled in the creation of slick abstract and brutalist jewelry. She started creating her own work in Taxco’s “middle period” and continued being active in the post-1980 years as well. Big, bold and beautiful, the result of the artist’s few yet perfectly placed brushstrokes, the dove-shaped pendant at hand conveys that precious sense of elegant, unimpeded motion. Measuring 3”...

The early Aguilar hallmarks on this piece indicate it was designed and made between 1948-1955. Weighing 90 grams the bracelet measures 1" X 7" but will comfortably fit up to a 6 3/4" wrist. The bracelet has a beautifully aged patina with some surface wear & a pin head size ding noticed on close inspection. This bracelet is pictured on p. 64 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny C. Exceptionally rare and collector quality, this Antonio Pineda necklace is beyond spectacular.

This design is shown on page 113 of "Silver Seduction: The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda", by Gobi Stromberg.

It's a necklace which drapes perfectly upon the neck, and it looks amazing on. Triangles of onyx, silver rays, and pearls, with chevron links on the sides. The pearls graduate in size, and the last ray on each side has a silver pearl.

Measures...

An iconic creation for Enrique Ledesma, this design can be found in all jewelry forms and with various stones. There is something very sculptural in the way the stone is cut that bestows an irresistible tactile quality to it and the case of the brooch at hand is no exception. Predominantly green with sage overtones yet not lacking rich blues and more muted browns, the azur-malachite is securely set in its warmly glowing silver frame. Distinctly angular, the stone’s shape is mitigated by the sw...

Generously long and definitely mod, this Erika Hult de Corral necklace is a minimalist little treasure! Not only does it wear like a dream - for me it is the epitome of "less-is-more", except for the luscious greens that make the polished stone centering it a treat for the eye. This is a pre-1980 example of her work and quite versatile since you can easily wear it with that classy black dress or have it casually adorn your favorite worn T-shirt. The necklace measures 21 1/2" long and its width v...

This Matilde Poulat Mexico City folkloric bracelet in the Moth design has the early 30's mark of 930. Her taller Matl produced her heaviest silver work in it's beginnings. The bracelet is repousse and 7in. long. It is large measuring 1.75 in. tall. There are lines and matrix in the turquoise but no cracks or chips. All folkloric work has it crumples and cloud like puffy surfaces and this one is in excellent condition. There is glare in my photos and a natural super deep patina to it's surface. ...

Today I am listing the Antonio Pineda chain and toggle bracelet. The length is 8.75in. and a depth of 7/8th in. The depth takes up some of the wearable length and it is a comfortable 7in. Properly hallmarked and very difficult to get all the marks in the pictures. The crown is visible and please request more photos if needed. I believe the stones at the ends of the toggle are Chrysoprase. The bracelet is solid and has a weight of 121 grams of heft.
