According to the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk, "It is nearly impossible to find jewelry designed by Harmon. All of his work is desirable and unique." Featured on page 191 of Morrills' book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO are these earrings- Wings and Stars Earrings- by Hubert Harmon. She dates them c. 1940-45. They are clever and outrageous as Harmon was known to be. The wires wrap around the ears so the wings go up and the stars dangle...

Based on a Salvador Teran design, the bracelet at hand is a great match to the Taller Taxco necklace also currently available in my inventory (please look for item no 1229490). This is the type of Mexican Silver Renaissance necklace that you hope you will find at some point in your collection. Valentin Vidaurreta was a premier designer starting in 1931 designing for Frederick Davis and had a workshop in Mexico City. Here with this necklace you see an eagle 9 which was only given to Hector Aguilar. Vidaurreta had most of his work hand made by Aguilar when he moved to Taxco. William Spratling felt so highly of Valentin he designed work for him as well...

In 1949, William Spratling signed a contract with Conquistador, a large silver factory in Mexico, to provide designs that were to be manufactured and sold by this company. I believe this large, stunning star shaped pendant to be one of these pieces. Measuring 4" long and 3" wide, this eight spoked star has two diagonal sections with azurite fused into the silver as the focal point of the piece.Solid at 30 grams...

Rancho Alegre featured Miguel Martinez as a principle designer and this is an early hallmark of Miguel's as shown. The silver is thick and almost pure. The tips are also beautiful and hand made. The rope is black cording and can be replaced quite easily if desired but it is in it's original state for the purest at heart. I would be happy to put the tips on a new cord for you. I have a picture of the leaf cuff by Doris with it which is also listed on my site. They make a very nice pair worn toget...

Pedro Castillo was a maestro for William Spratling at Taller de Las Delicias. He also was a maestro for Hector Aguilar until he opened his own shop around 1940. The panels are solid silver and the raised glyph elements are applied giving depth as well as the niello background. Hallmarked 925 for silver content. 1 5/8th inches tall 6 5/8th inches long Weight ...

Dating around the middle of Matilde Poulat's career, this sterling repousse brooch exhibits the tell-tale texturing and beading that characterizes her silver-work and is adorned with bezel-set turquoise and red coral. Poulat's inspiration quite often originated in the natural environment with doves, owls, flowers, fish and, in our case, a sea horse featured in her jewelry. Evocative of the tranquility of deep sea waters, this little creature will put a smile on your face every day of the week. M...

Classic Fred Davis Mexican Deco silver and turquoise bracelet in a design that is considered an iconic creation for the renowned designer, especially in this combination of materials. A row of repousse florets with stone hearts comfortably hugs the wrist and conforms to its movements freely. The turquoise cabs have developed an interesting variation of hues over the years which, in combination for the warmly glowing patina, adds character and a certain "life experience" to the bracelet.
