Vintage amethyst and 970 sterling silver necklace set designed and signed c.1950 by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. Necklace measures 16" long and approx. 1/2" wide. Bracelet measures 7 1/2" long and approx. 1/2" wide. Beautiful condition with no chips or cracks to the stones. Both clasps in fine working order. Both pieces fully hallmarked on reverse.

This is an incredibly rare Los Castillo early brooch numbered 169. The azurmalachite is 5/8th's inch long and the entire length of the pin is 3 inches. The width is 2inches. Properly hallmarked as shown and in perfect condition with a weight of 20.3 grams. This brooch is a show stopper. The side view picture shows the depth of the repousse. FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS

Early vintage handmade sterling silver bracelet designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar(1905-86). Measures 7 inches long X 1 inch wide. Comprised of 9 repousse wave panels with applied rope trim. Penny Morrills's book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO pictures the bracelets' hallmarks - HA STERLING MADE IN MEXICO and states that those marks were used on Aguilar designs from 1940-45. Salvador Teran was a designer of note that came out of the Spratling Mexican silver era. Here we have one if his creations that is so simplistic it is timeless. The clean straight lines stand out and the V slightly perks off the chest. Wonderful with a business suit or dress. This piece is 15 inches in wearable length but also is included with this is a custom extender that makes it 17.75in. which is well executed in itself...

Until well into the 20th c. conducting one's own archaelogical dig was not prohibited in Mexico - both Spratling and Davis are known to have engaged in personal digs and their collections were frequently enriched by the fruits of those excavations. Quite often ancient, pre-Colombian beads as well as small stone artifacts that surfaced here and there were incorporated in pieces of jewelry silversmiths made in the first decades of Mexico's Silver Renaissance...

A donkey doll motif. Pre assay 1930's or 40's hand chased repousse donkey burro tested silver pin with MEXICO mark and the cutest round face big headed punk haired donkey doll! So it has an overbite and no chin, it is so kee-oot!. Must have.
The native peoples are known to make dolls in the shape of their local animals for their children to play.

Dramatic first design period (1931-46) sterling silver and amethyst necklace designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). The cruciform pendant measures 3 inches long X 2 5/8 inches wide. The attached sterling silver chain measures 19 inches long. The amethyst stones are very deep and vivid in color and in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks. Eye catching size 5 1/2 sterling silver domed ball ring designed (1930's) and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The large silver half ball rests on a silver band. Ring weighs 5 grms. Vintage used condition with some minute pin head sized dings. Beautiful overall patina. Signed with the early WS brand hallmark and 980 for silver content.

This Damaso Gallegos signature Holly and Bells bracelet is a delight to wear! Each little bell makes a happy tinkling sound as it's wearer moves.
