Gorgeous early William Spratling 980 silver bracelet featured on page 43 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER. An exceptional sterling cuff bracelet by Margot De Taxco. Beautiful flowing pattern with swirls and curves and bead work. The eye moves continuously when looking at this bracelet. Sold. Taxco Mexico Handsomely Crafted Hinged Neck Collar marked: "Mexico" "950" and "TM-77". It weighs 3.7 Ounce or 107 of 95% Silver and measures 16.75" from end to end on the inside. The tri-lobal part measures 1.75" across and 1/2" wide at the sturdy hinge. Some tiny lines that vintage silver gets, yet is easily buffed. A lot of necklace for the price.

Absolutely magnificent sterling mask brooch by Margot De Taxco. Spectacular in every way,this rare and unique Aztec design brooch measures an imposing 3 1/2" wide and 2 5/8" long. Eye Catching Chatelaine Clips Sweater Guards marked initials in back: Conjoined 'J F in U' inside a circle stamped: "Taxco Sterling" and something else. A Kitty's face only a Mama Cat could love! Naive engraved face Mod Silver Cat marked in back: "Coro Mex Silver". Hector Aguilar made jewelry for Coro from 1943 to 1950, less than 10 years after having worked at Spratling's Taller de las Delicias. Nice haft at .8 Oz or 23 Grams! 3" x 1.5". Heavy cast piece with normal lines that 50 year old silver gets. Except for the malachite stone at tail tip's end, it is in very nice condition.

One of William Spratlings' most recognizable pieces is this Aztec figure pin with a large amethyst. Circa 1940, it is featured on page 39 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill. Measuring 1 1/2" long and 1 1/8" wide, most of the surface of the pieces is the large square cabachon amethyst which measures 1"long and 5/8" wide.
