We are offering a rare Matilde Poulat bracelet that is 7 in. long and 1 7/8th inches tall. A large piece with a carved onyx center stone with no cracks or chips. This is marked with the old MATL block and 0.900. It has a most unusual swirl to the bottom of the chin and on the top right a swirled spray. The puffy repousse is open backed and shows the work on the underside. Many early ones are made in this fashion. Patina is present and lovely...

This is a huge 6in. tall cross with the sunburst and palomas roses adorning and the child angels dangle. Signed with the old hallmark of MATL cursive. The measurement is 4.5in. at the widest point. With a weight of 192 grams of exceptional design by Matilde Poulat and designed within the Mexican Silver Renaissance.This is fit for a true Museum piece and incredibly rare. Constructed in the mid 1930's, this early 980 sterling Spratling design measures 7" long and will fit up to a 6 3/4" wrist. The piece weighs 51 grams and is in excellent condition with a beautifully aged patina. This design is featured on page 60 of WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENISSANCE by Penny Morrill. The bracelet also appears on Goddards' spratlingsilver.com where it is noted that Spratling referred to this design as the "pulsera de cocos"...

An impressive and bold unsigned Old Necklace from the 1920's. The necklace has been well cared for and has no damage with complete casa Belles. The necklace has a 107 gram weight and 17 inches long. The drop is 3.25 inches long and 2.25 in. wide at it's widest point. The work displays glyphs from the Mayan culture. Extraordinary workmanship, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Vintage 1930's sterling silver and carved onyx box designed and signed by Frederick Davis (1880-1961). Measures 3 3/4" X 2" X 1 1/2" high. Box weighs 129 grams, 4.05 oz. Beautiful original condition with no dings or dents. Carved onyx Mayan face in perfect condition. Davis designs are featured in the 20th Century Mexican silver collection at Los Angeles County Museum of Art - LACMA.

Mexico City artist Frederick Davis (1880-1961)designed this distinctive silver brooch in the 1920's. In beautiful vintage condition the pin is 2 1/4" X 2 1/4". Highly collectable, Fred Davis designs are included in permanent museum collections at MFA Boston, LACMA and others. In all these years now I have never listed an attribution to any listing. For this special old piece I am making an attribution for the first time and to SR. Guadalupe Castellanos. This is a very old pre Spratling era Yalalag cross with it's original chain of a long 48 inches. Each cross on the chain is of thick silver. All of the beads on the chain are 9mm and hand made. The drop is 6in. long and the beads are much larger than the chains beads at 13mm. Again all the crosses on the drop are extremely thick silver and are also hand made. Pieces like this were normally not signed and this one is of no exception...

pre Colombian beads sitting on a dish of sterling silver with sterling chain and beads make this a striking wear anywhere necklace. It is of Mexican origin and is slightly before or at the beginning of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. Added attractions is the hand make copper casa belles. 76 grams of weight and 18 inches in length. Each station is 5/8th inches across. No damage or repairs just, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

This amethyst and sterling pin by Taxco artist Fred Davis is featured on page 24 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. They date the pin c. 1928. Davis combined silver and amethyst in many of his most celebrated pieces. This pin measures 1 3/4" diameter and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the stones and none have been replaced. Hallmarked for Fred Davis as shown. An important early piece by this creative visionary.
