This is an early and original "Matl" ring,designed and hand made by Matilde Poulat, not to be confused with the Matl style jewelry still being produced by her nephew Richard Salas. A bracelet with this same fish pattern is featured on page 80 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. Magnificent detail and a feeling that the fish is in motion. Rare and exceptional double fish bracelet with 6 amethysts by Margot De Taxco. There is a cabachon amethyst in each eye and one in each upper and lower gill. A charming sterling and white and silver fleck enamel necklace, bracelet and earring set by Margot De Taxco. The double flower design is feminine but bold and it is so nice to have a matching set. The necklace measures 17" end to end and the flowers are 7/8" by 7/8". The bracelet is 7 1/2" end to end and the screwback earrings are 7/8" by 7/8". All pieces are in fine original condition with no enamel loss at all and all pieces are signed and numbered as shown. Great enamel work.
