Matilde Eugenia Poulat introduced her designs under the signature "Matl" in 1934. She died in 1960. This is an early and original "Matl" ring,designed and hand made by Matilde Poulat, not to be confused with the Matl style jewelry still being produced by her nephew Richard Salas. This beautiful sterling, turquoise and amethyst ring is currently a size 7. It cannot be sized without breaking the pattern which extends around the back of the ring. Spectacular and rare this silver & onyx bracelet was designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist artist Antonio Pineda(1919-09). Bracelet measures 1 3/4" wide with a 6 3/4" wearable length. Each link is 1/4" thick. Heavy, the bracelet weighs 152 grams. Slide in clasp with safety chain work perfectly. Both onyx stones and silver are in beautiful condition. Fully signed on the back. Truly a wearable work of art...

An early piece by Los Castillo, c 1940. A huge sterling pin of a flying fish with a center blue glass stone. A bracelet with this same fish pattern is featured on page 80 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. Magnificent detail and a feeling that the fish is in motion. This piece measures 3 1/2" by 2" and is in fine original condition. It weighs 35 grams. Signed and numbered for Los Castillo. Bold and strong.

Rare and exceptional double fish bracelet with 6 amethysts by Margot De Taxco. There is a cabachon amethyst in each eye and one in each upper and lower gill. The detail on this bracelet is quite extraordinary. The bracelet is hinged in the back and opens and closes in the front. The hinge is tight and the bracelet is in excellent original condition. It weighs 106 grams and measures 6" around in the inside and 4" wide in the front, narrowing to 1" at the back hinge where the fish fins meet...

A charming sterling and white and silver fleck enamel necklace, bracelet and earring set by Margot De Taxco. The double flower design is feminine but bold and it is so nice to have a matching set. The necklace measures 17" end to end and the flowers are 7/8" by 7/8". The bracelet is 7 1/2" end to end and the screwback earrings are 7/8" by 7/8". All pieces are in fine original condition with no enamel loss at all and all pieces are signed and numbered as shown. Great enamel work.

The Leaves' veins are chased, has large bail, and measures 2.5" X 1.25" wide. Looks more like 950 silver than 925. Weighs: .6 Oz or 17 Grams. What an interesting contrast in this not often seen Antonio bracelet. It measures 6 3/4" around in the inside and is just a hair over 1/2" wide.
