Designed by Max Ernst (1891-1976) and crafted in Murano Venice, this tile measures 7 5'8" x 6 3/8" and is roughly 7/8" thick. The glass is clear, with a greenish tint, and has iridescent tints over some of the surface, with gold showing up in recessed areas. It is signed M Ernst in the lower left corner and is inscribed on the back: "Natale 1997, Auguri Gregory, Egidio Constantini, Venezia"...

Smart and tailored gutta percha necklace or collar, tie it on and walk away. Gutta percha is a black or brown hard rubber like material made from the sap of a Malayan tree. In the late Victorian period it was molded in various forms to make jewelry. This necklace measures 13" long by 1 1/4" at its widest

A vintage Hubley #275 cast iron doorstop of a German Shepherd sitting. Size: 9.5 in. ht. x 6.5 in. wide x 2.5 in. deep. 1st half 20th century. Impressed on reverse '275'.

Hector Aguilar designed and signed this early set of 3 handwrought copper and brass ashtrays in Taxco, Mexico in the early 1940's. Each measures 4 1/2 inches across and is 1 inch high. All 3 ashtrays are in excellent condition with no dents or dings. All have original unpolished patina. Each piece signed on the underside HA TAXCO MEXICO.

Beautifully sculpted from one piece of wood, this horse and rider sail effortlessly over a fence. The sculpture measures 16" high, approximately 19" from end of board to tip of horses nose, and the wood base is 13 1/4" x 4 1/4". The two back legs are one piece, just to support the body of the horse and rider. Every bit of the surface is slightly textured, like the hammer marks on silver, and gives the piece a lovely sheen and patina...

This handwrought arts & crafts candlestick was designed and signed by William Spratling in the early 1930's. The candlestick base measures 5 inches across and stands 3 1/2" high. Excellent condition and patina. Signed on the underside WS TAXCO MEXICO. This Spratling tin candlestick is pictured on p. 227 of WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penny Morrill.

Two large Chinese jade decorative carvings, depicting two identical fishes each having lotus in her mouth, carved similarly in both side. Size: 7.75"x3.25". Condition Report: Fine condition with no imperfections.

A fine figural nude bronze by Hans Dietzsch-Sachsenhausen signed and dated 1921. measuring 17 inches tall in excellent condition. Sachsenhausen (1810-1926) a noted German sculpture with many important public statuary in city centers in Germany and other Countries.

Antique cast iron Elephant door stop by Bradley and Hubbard. Early 20th century. Size: 10 1/4 inches ht. x 11 3/4 inches length. Original painted surface. Molded B&H on reverse and #7799. Very good condition with some chipping, scratching and paint loss, commensurate with age.

Measuring 7 1/2" from beak to tail and 5 1/4" high to top of crest, this bronze is in excellent condition, with all the origonal paint. The detail in both the casting and paint is very fine, and the figure is life size and life like. It is signed on the belly and tail with Bergmann's "B" in an urn, with the Austria stamp, and KF in a diamond lozenge. In addition, on the tail, the mark of Carl Kauba is also stamped, which is unusual, and may have been done for marketing purposes...

This is a Beautifully Carved IVORY FIGURINE. Depicted are 2 CRANES Standing near a LOTUS Plant. The Detail shows the CRANES, one with the Fish and the other nearby, and the LOTUS FLOWERS and LEAVES. Size is 8 1/2" Tall X 4" in width; 9" tall with the Wood Stand. Condition is EXCELLENT. This CHINESE IVORY Carving dates circa second 1/4 of the 20th Century. Beautifully sculpted and cast bronze of Bacchus, the God of wine (Le Vin) dancing and reaching down toward a child or baby faun, by noted French artist Louis Holweck (1861-1935). The sculpture measures 21 1/2" high, 6 1/2' wide, and 6" deep. The bronze is signed on the base in front "Le Vin", on one side with the artists's signature, and on another side with the foundry mark of J F'Deur, the French foundry...

The quality of this bronze neoclassical figure is exceptional, with fine detail, deep rich patina, and fire gilding accents. It measures 12 1/2" high, on a base measuring 6 3/4" x 3 3/8". The base is open on the bottom and shows screws that hold the sculpture in place. Probably had a marble base at some time. Signed on the corner, "Moreau", one of the famed French bronze sculptors of the 19th century...

Terracotta sculpture of putti or cherub petting dog at his side, a garland wrapped around his torso, mounted on mottled marble base, 19th century, style of Clodion.
