A New England Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750, in cherry, being a marriage of a period base with a period top. The proportions and color of the two components mesh very nicely, though the secondary woods differ, white pine versus chestnut. Found in a New Hampshire home. Refinished and with replaced brasses, otherwise in fine condition, without further restoration. Dimensions: 77 3/8" height x 38 1/2" width x 19 1/4" depth.
Louis Vuitton Steamer Trunk in Orange Vuittonite. The orange Vuittonite was made for only a short period of time making these trunks less common, and a great addition to complete your collection. The trunk measures 44 inches long (112 cm); 22.5 inches deep (57 cm); 23 inches high (58 cm). The trunk has both leather handles, they may have been replaced years ago. A stunning European, probably French, sideboard/cabinet adorned with carved griffins, urns and rosettes in the Aesthetic Movement style. Circa 1880-1890s. Size: 56.5 inches length x 20 inches depth x 44.25 inches height. Solid oak with a reddish orange marble top ( a later replacement).
There are two hidden frieze drawers with rosettes above a double door cabinet, carved with griffin handled urn motifs.
The perfect size for that not too large room. Louis Vuitton suitcase trunk fitted to a custom hand-made base. The base is maple with a hand stained custom blended matching finish. The case itself, we're guessing, dates to around the 1930's, and is in great vintage condition, showing minor signs of travel wear. Fit the top with a piece of glass or use it without for extra storage...
Early American Queen Anne highboy. Coastal New Hampshire origin. Circa1760. A two part highboy in figured maple, with white pine secondary wood. The upper case with five long, graduated drawers over a lower case with two long drawers and an attractively shaped skirt and supported on four cabriole legs on pad feet. The exterior exhibits an old, mellow refinish and the brasses are original. No other repairs or restoration. Size: 75 1/4 inches ht. x 38 1/8 inches wide x 19 inches deep.
