A lovely roku-yu glazed form from the kilns of Korea mounted on a tri-pronged rosewood stand and enclosed in a period kiri-wood box. It is 12 inches (30 cm) tall plus the stand. There are minor chips about the rim. An excellent piece for use in the tea room. Likely 15th to early 17th centuries (Possibly later Goryeo likely early Joseon).

The cavetto with inlaid white slip decoration including ornamental band inside the rim and four strawberry sprays surrounding centered chrysanthemum flowerhead within double ring. The exterior with white and black slip inlaid decoration of two graduated bands of chrysanthemum roundels within double rings. An extremely fine and rare Korean celadon cup & stand. The cup in flower shaped form with a thinly potted and divided into eight lobed each decorated with a single inlaid black and white chrysanthemum blossom, three spurs mark appear to the base. The top of the stand decorated with four blossoms inlaid of chrysanthemum spray as well, the foot area with carved style border, five spurs mark to the base. Korean Koryo Dynasty 13th/14th Century Glazed Stoneware Bottle / Jar

This attractively-shaped stoneware bottle was made during the 13th / 14th century. It has a wide round body, a short narrow neck and a cup-shaped mouth. The surface is coated in a finely-crackled olive-green glaze, the colour varying in places according to its thickness. In places where the glaze is particularly thin, it has degraded a little over time and flaked from the surface.

Koryo dynasty olive toned celadon bowl with a large, impressed peony decoration inside the bowl and incised fine line around the inside of the foliate rim. The body thinly potted but strong as in the manner of Chinese Yingqing wares of the same period. A rare celadon pear shape bottle vase, decorated with inlaid Butterfly and Chrysanthemum design. Condition is perfect except one old chip to foot rim and one small area in the neck with slightly discoloured, no crack, no other chips and free from restoration. High: 14.3 cm.

Fine Korean Koryo Dynasty Bronze Bowl, Spoon & Chopsticks

This fine, high quality bronze bowl and utensils were made during the Koryo Dynasty (AD 918 - 1392) but more specifically during the 13th century. The wall of the bowl is particularly thin as it was made by the spinning technique as opposed to having been cast (see below for more information). A rare celadon saucer dish, with foliated rim, decorated in the center with inlaid Twin Fish and covered overall to all over the body with olive green glaze, three spurs mark on base. Please see to similar form at the book "Gems of Koryo Ceramics Ware" published by Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka 1996, page 16, item 46 with 10.7 cm and with inlaid flower design. Korean Koryo Dynasty Celadon Stoneware Bowl with Inlaid Slip Decoration

This small stoneware bowl was made during the Koryo Dynasty (AD 918 - 1392). It is glazed all over in a thick and finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze. The inner surface is decorated with a central flower blossom surrounded by rings and cloud patterns inlaid in white slip (this is not so easy to photograph due to the highly reflective glaze)...

A fine, early Joseon dynasty, deep Punchong bowl with gracefully everted rim and on tall ring foot. White slip inlaid decoration in the cavetto of chrysanthemum blossoms, surrounded by a lotus-petal band, surrounded in turn by rope-curtain decoration continuing to multiple rings inside the rim. The outside brush-wiped with white slip and an olive colored glaze over the slip and body - pooling in places. The unglazed foot fired to a grey-brown color...

Korean Silla Kingdom (circa 6th century) unglazed reddish-gray stoneware funerary food vessel with domed cover on a high stem foot broadly flaring at the base and decorated with rectangular perforations. The lid is covered with incised designs and has a central finial. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. The piece is in very good overall condition with minor imperfections consistent with its age. I cannot be certain if the lid was originally made for this specific bowl...

A garment-hook or belt-fitting in the shape of a horse, made of bronze with green patination. According to the Brooklyn Museum, these belt hooks in the form of a horse come from Lelang, one of three commandaries, or colonies, that the Chinese established in northwest Korea during the Han dynasty and that lasted more than four hundred years (108 B.C.E.–313 C.E.).
