SOLD

This 22" tall Golliwog is most impressive. He dates from the 1930's. My best guess is that he was made by the English company, Dean's Rag Book Co.Ltd.. He matches the pictures I have been able to find in every characteristic but one- his hands are made as 4 separate fingers, whereas the pictures show a mitten shaped hand stitched into fingers. The doll is made of wool felt. The trousers and jacket and back of one finger show signs of wear - some moth holes, some mends, some fading, some carefu... Click for details

The premier maker of German chocolate molds. Anton Reiche, is the producer of this outstanding pair of moulds. They are the largest size bride and groom moulds Reiche produced in the early 1930's. They are 10 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" to 6" wide. The condition and definition are excellent. In the 1930's Lilliputian weddings were all the rage. Children were dressed in every detail to mimic an adult wedding party. They seem to have been sponsored by woman's clubs and churches - possibly as fund raisers... Click for details

Beautiful high fashion 30's blouse in a wonderful print of big flowers and leaves in shades of pink, peach, browns and lavender on a cream and dark chocolate brown background. The sleeve openings are on the bottom, leaving the shoulders to form a sort of draped point, and the front peplum forms a draped bow back, so this was very high style in its day. About a size 6, it measures approx. 14" across the shoulders, up to 37" bust, 26" waist, 16" waist length, and 38" hips. Probably made of rayon o... Click for details

$675 sold thank you

This is a nice medium size umeke shape ( meat bowl shape ) bowl made of kou or possibly milo ( looks more like kou though ). I can not find any signs of lathe turning and the slightly uneven ( you can only tell by feel ) thick walls would tend to indicate hand carving. It also has a round bottom, not the flat bottom found on late examples. If it is hand carved that might put it as early as the third quarter of the 19th century. No repairs, excellent condition, slight use. Nice kuki nut fini... Click for details

Perfect for the red carpet, this gorgeous 1950's couture gown is in the style of Christian Dior, or perhaps Balenciaga, but there is no designer label. The woman whose estate this dress is from owned several Balenciaga gowns, and this one is couture made with lots of hand-sewn details and finishing, both inside and out. The silk has very subtle stripes in shades of lilac with teal, which appears almost iridescent. The fabric itself is fairly light weight with a satin finish and a little stiffnes... $950 sold thank you

This is a fine old yipwon from the mid-20th century or earlier. Note the pierced nasal septum and the "ankle bone" these are both signs of older pieces. These were used as hunting amulets and attached to net woven bags that the men carried on a hunt. Great patina, some wear. About 10" tall.
