Worn as robes, these 20's Hapi Coats were often seen in the movies of the 20's and 30's. They were made for export to westerners, and they can be Japanese and Chinese. This one is of a rayon acetate jacquard with a beautiful flower print of cream, gold, green, teal and shades of coral on black. A size small to medium, it measures about 48" around at the widest part, and 39" in length. There is a 1/4" hole on one of the flowers on the right front border print, and a small hole on the back right s... Click for details

This is an extraordinarily fine, English, silk knitted pin ball. One side has two sets of initials (I assume the giver and the receiver),
the date-1796-, two crowns and 4 triangular decorative sections. The colors are creamy gold on light brown. The other side has the following phrase,"LET NOT ABSENCE BANISH LOVE" and some small decorative shapes. The original hanging cord is still intact. It is pretty close to a perfect example of a pin ball - probably a love token. The phrase is wonderful and... Click for details

This 11 1/2" long candy container is a heavily embossed pine cone (with a hanger for tree use) from Germany. The detailing is very good. The lid has a very realistic frosted pine branch attached to it.Inside I found the rest of the "pine branch" with a real little pine cone attached to it. It is about 3 1/2" at the deepest point. In very good condition.

This gold and black sign ,13 3/4" long by 6 1/2" is a neat early 20th c. country store item. Would look great as part of a kitchen wall arrangement. The surface of the sign has a gritty sandy feel and the black fancy calligraphy letters show up beautifully on the gilding.

This one also came either from 6directions and was purchased from Robert Wallace, C. G. Wallaces brother, and a well known trader in his own right. Made for stringing, this little guy would make a great pendant. About 1 1/4" long, a very reasonable price for a Leeky Deyusee fetish.

A delightful little rabbit made from a nice turquoise stone by Leo Poblano. Mr. Poblano was a renown Zuni jewler and fetish carver, he and Teddy Weahkee were also known for paintings sculpture and other art forms. His jewlery and fetishes were reprezented in the C. G. Wallace collection and his work can be seen in the 1975 sale catalogue. about 3/4" long, this item came from Rudy ( Newyork_horseman on eBay ) and he bought it from Kent Mcmannis. I have a copy of the receipt (see images below )... Click for details

This is a great piece signed '97 S. Natewa Zuni, about 2 5/8" long. Made of serpentine with turquoise eyes. Very reminicent of Neil Natewa's work. I got this from Arch Theissen Sunshine Studios ( I recommend you check out his web site if you have an interest in Zuni or Navajo fetishes -- he has hundreds, is very nice, honest and his prices are very reasonable, and no I do not get a comission HA HA, he is just a great guy. )
Arch, says this one has a break on one of the front legs, but it i... Click for details
