Tartanware set of books, Scott's Poetical Works, Select Edition, Edinbergh: Adam and Charles Black, 1874. 6 Volumes in all, leather spines embossed in gold. Each book has a different tartan cover: Caledonia, M'Lean, Stuart, M'Beth,Prince Charlie, M'Pherson. The box is covered in the M'Beth tartan and has a classical figure with a seated dog on the top. Measuring just 4 inches wide x 4.5 high, this early cast iron still bank was produced in England in the 1930s! Buyer beware: this is NOT a reproduction! Repros have the words "Made in England" impressed into the back of the hat as well as a paint distinction: only the "whites" of the eyes are painted white on a repro versus the painting of the entire eyelid area on legitimate banks (see my photos).

This is a very cute and rare piece of WWII memorabilia. Servicemen painted Kilroy and Kilroy was here accross Europe and Japan and it became a catchphrase post WWII. Kilroy is wearing a black derby hat and is 3" long. A treat.

This is a fabulous party piece from NYC. Silver soldered, by International Silver, it holds 5 gallons. The bottom is stamped THE PLAZA. The hotel monogram is on the front and shown in the 2nd picture. The condition is good though the inside is worn. It looks great filled with ice and canned or bottled drinks or as a container for a fabulous flower arrangement. I wouldn't use it to serve punch without a liner. The punch bowl is 17" in diameter and stands 11" high.

This adorable wooden pull-toy circa 1930's features two painted wood elephants playing ball over a fence. Their trucks lift up & down when a lever underneath moves - unfortunately just pulling the toy does not make them move anymore. Normal wear from age & use, the striped celluloid ball between them is cracked has a hole on one side. Still quite a charmer! Measures approx. 15" long x 5" wide x 8" tall.
