Vintage 1940's Rayon Crepe Hawaiian Dress Holoku

This amazing 40's Hawaiian gown with train is called a Holoku. The train has a self-fabric loop in back that can attach to a button on the side. The oriental print of big red pagodas is sharp and bright. It's a larger size with 15" across the shoulders, up to a 43" bust, 30" waist, 44" hips, 48" front length of dress from the bottom point of the sweetheart neckline to the hem of the ruffle, and 77 1/2" from mid-back neck to hem of ruffle on train. It's in excellent condition.

A beautiful 40's pakemuu in a vivid red-orange silk oriental cranes print. The label is "Jaxon's, Waikiki" and measures approx. 15-16" across the dropped shoulders, up to a 36" bust, 30" waist, approx. 39" hips, and about 54" overall length from mid-back neck to hem. The sleeves are lined in yellow rayon, and the dress is in excellent condition.

Vintage Edwardian Embroidered Shawl

In a pale beige hand-embroidered silk, this fringe shawl is as beautiful from the back as it is from the front. The long front panels are about 50" from shoulder top to the end of the fringe, and about 37" long from the top of the back neck to the end of the fringe. It's in very good wearable condition, except for a small, under 1/4", hole under the back tassel that isn't seen unless the back tassel is lifted. This simple black wool Lilli Ann suit has a great 40's shape. It's about a size 4 with large shoulder pads, making it 17 1/2" across the shoulders. The jacket has a 34" bust, 26" waist, and approx. 36" hips. The skirt has a 24" waist and 36" hips. Very flattering on, it's in very good condition.

A silk and rayon satin blend with lots of hand-embroidered birds and flowers, this Chinese banker's coat with pockets is probably from the 60's or 70's. The label says "Plum Blossom" and it's a medium size with 15 1/2" across the shoulders, 38" bust, 42" hips, 16 1/2" inside sleeve length, and 38" length from mid-back neck to hem. It's a beautiful coat over dress or pants, in excellent like-new condition. Vintage clothing.

Vintage 1920's Cotton Nightgown

Charming 20's, or possibly earlier, nightgown with very full cut below the fine cotton ruffled lace yoke. It's 18" across armpit to armpit, 18" armhole, and 40" from bottom of yoke to hem. The bottom has machine-embroidered shamrocks and flowers with drawn-work. It's in very good condition, except for old mends and a few very small holes. One hole is approx. 1/8"-1/4".

"Watumull's and Leilani" label. Rayon crepe with coconut buttons. Wonderful print of sailboats and palm trees. Size medium with 17 1/2" across the shoulders, 45" chest, 28" length from mid-back neck to hem. Excellent, like-new condition except for two pinholes just below the back collar. These two holes look as though they may be from a staple or pin from a sales tag. Vintage clothing.

This beautiful turn-of-the-century blouse is completely handmade irish crochet lace. The 2 3/4" wide waistband is not original and has been added recently. It fastens in the back with 2 snaps and the lace part is left open, which gives a little more breathing room. It is about a size 4-6. This is an exquisite handmade lace jacket from the turn-of-the-century. It is a beautiful ecru color with a slight sheen, so there is probably some silk in the thread. A very wearable style, it's lightly shaped, so it is beautiful closed or open. It's in excellent condition and would fit a small to medium size. This soft peach peignoir by Hermine is beautifully made. The fine cotton ecru lace is hand appliqued to peach silk georgette in all the right places. In fact, the entire garment is hand sewn, from the french seams to the floaty hand rolled hem. I've shown it over a simple bias cut off-white slip. Slip not included.
