This soft peach peignoir by Hermine is beautifully made. The fine cotton ecru lace is hand appliqued to peach silk georgette in all the right places. In fact, the entire garment is hand sewn, from the french seams to the floaty hand rolled hem. I've shown it over a simple bias cut off-white slip. Slip not included. This is the perfect 30's garden party dress. Made of silk chiffon with a beautiful print of art deco flowers, it is cut on the bias for a beautiful fit. The bust is around 35", the waist up to 27", and the hips to 39", but there is a lot of room to stretch or drape because of the bias cut. It would probably fit a size 4 to 8. A beautiful and delicate pale sky-blue dress of cotton lawn from the 1920's by the Paris Couture House of Boue Soeurs. These two sisters were known for lovely confections, such as this dress, in soft pale colors with handmade laces, tucks, and embroidery from Venice. This is a very cute and rare piece of WWII memorabilia. Servicemen painted Kilroy and Kilroy was here accross Europe and Japan and it became a catchphrase post WWII. Kilroy is wearing a black derby hat and is 3" long. A treat.

Vintage French Tin Lunch Box w Cat & Dog

I found this delightful tin box at an antique show in Reims, in the Champagne region of France. Circa 1920's, children used a box like this one to take their "gouter" or snack, to school. On the top there is an adorable image of a cat & a child running from a mischievous dog, and a small mouse appears on the side. Other than minor paint touch-ups to the child's leg (see photos) this box is in good shape. It measures approx 7" long x 3-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" high (5-1/2" to top of handle).

This is a wonderful and very charming pin of the sailor at the ships wheel. the wheel is studded with green rhinestones and has a blue glass cabochon in the center and the sailor is in uniform. A great piece of World War II Americana.
