An unusual pair of English porcelain pots decorated with a rich cobalt blue ground with hand painted floral reserves. The purpose of these items escapes me. The interiors make me think they were some kind of candlestick but they seem to have had lids (now missing). They are good quality soft paste porcelain.

Antique porcelain dessert sets -- dessert plates, cups and saucers. Lovely transfer prints, likely with handpainted backgrounds; much gilding. Each piece has different scenes with young women and cherubs, most likely reproductions of Angelica Kauffman's paintings. Dessert plates are 7.25" (18.41 cm) diameter, raised platform saucers are 6.25" (15.87 cm) diameter, cups are 3" (7.62 cm) tall, 3.50" (8.89 cm) diameter. Early 20th C. Handpainted Nippon Tea Caddy or Vase with lid, with Moriage Enameling; signed on base. In original condition, with no damage over and above usual manufacturing anomalies. Lovely crystalline vase by Annemarie and Werner Schmidt Tummeley. Working since the late 1940s, Annemarie designs the shapes while her husband Werner supervises the glaze decoration.*

This ceramic vase by Wendelin Stahl has a fabulous blue crystalline glaze. At 7 inches tall it has a wonderful shape and the contrasting shades of the blue glazes make for a highly attractive surface decoration. Signed and in excellent condition.

Beautiful miniature ceramic vase by noted ceramic artist Wendelin Stahl. Stahl came from a long line of ceramic artists and has a brother who is still creating pottery. The colors of this 2.7" vase are intense and rich. The piece is signed and in excellent condition.
