Stunning 1880-ish pineapple motif bread tray. Vivid colors of green on yellow with brown braid trim, brown center. Some knife marks in the bottom and a little wear to some of the high spots (pattern is busy, so it is not obvious). Mottled coloration on the back. There is a spot on the back that looks almost like a thumb print in the glaze. I assume that is in the making. Very impressive piece. Size is 13" by 11 1/2".

This is a fine English majolica pitcher in a pond lily pattern, the top of the pitcher depicting the petals of the blossom. A stem with a bud forms the handle. The colors are lovely. The lily pads are a deep liquid green, the petals are a rose color, the interior a pale dusty mauve. The pitcher is sound with no cracks, chips or repairs. There is most noticably glaze loss on one lily pad stem, and some roughness around the rim. There is some glaze loss on the interior bottom of the pitcher. ... Click for details

This beautiful jug comes with it's charming, handwritten history included. It has been passed down in the same Georgia family for many generations. At least one generation "served buttermilk from the pitcher to the family for supper", (from the history). It has been lovingly handled because it is in very fine condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs, only the slightest wear on both sides, exactly where you would place your hand to support the pitcher as you poured, whether left hande... Click for details

This is a particularly beautiful and desirable piece of majolica. It is signed Wedgwood, dates to about 1880 and is in mint condition. The platter has a scalloped border of yellow branch coral. The design in the center is seaweed and other ocean flora on a bright aqua pebbled ground. The colors are bright and fresh, the effect is very beach-y. The size is 11 3/4" by 10" and, I repeat, perfect.
