Stylish Art Deco Monkey Group by Skeaping for Wedgwood. Signed on edge of plinth with impressed marks: "J SKEAPING" and "WEDGWOOD". Dates from the 1930's. 7 1/2" high, plinth base 7 1/2" X 3". The Royal Doulton GAFFERS Series was designed by C J Noke and in production from 1921 - 1949. There are 19 recorded scenes and this rare mini vase features scene 12: 'Three-quarter view of Gaffer with right hand holding basket, the other leaning on angled stick'.
