Soft, pale yellow wide border, against white ground, decorated with the most delicate of pale pink roses and green winding vines and leaves, richly gilded rim, 8.5" (21.59 cm) diameter. Each plate is exceedingly well painted by hand, each in a slightly different, while matching, pattern. Six beautiful pieces for one price. Mark 5, Jean Pouyat, Limoges, France. Pieces by Charles Martin (CM), are seldom seen, much less in such extravagant gold. Charles rare Martin, plats antiques de porcelaine de Limoges avec la dorure. Those pieces that come along are known to have much gold on them, although this acid-etched, two-tone, gold-on-gold design is unusual and heavy, and covers the full rim, 1.75" (4.44 cm). Late 19th-early 20th Century French Handpainted Porcelain Clock, a painter's palette complete with old brushes; a gentleman going courting, holding bouquet of flowers behind his back; lady across the pond is reading a note (no doubt from her suitor). Note the scene continues within the center of the Roman Numeral Dial with a cement jardiniere filled with flowers. Gilding around clock face, and palette edges. Rare and splendid porcelain oil lamp of Paris, circa 1860. This oil lamp in porcelain and bronze is of exceptional quality. The hand painted pattern are remarkable, this porcelain is ornate with a rare decor perfectly produced. The foot is cast bronze fine-cut. The height without the glass is 12,87 inches (33cm), the large-diameter is 6,63 inches (17cm), the complete height is 21,45 inches (55cm). It is in great condition.
