This studio vase is by the well known artist Horst Kerstan. He studied with Richard Bampi in Kandern and then took over his studio when Bampi died in 1965. The glazes on this piece are fabulous; not just he rich colors but the contrast between the matte and the shinier glazes. It is in excellent condition and signed on the bottom Kerstan (incised signature). It measures 4 1/4" tall and is 13 inches in circumference at the widest.

The base is unmarked and the piece is in excellent condition. I have a smaller vase in this design listed too (item 967).
